Adorvia represents an extension of that platform into the sweetener category, which is a considerably larger and more competitive market.
The sugar reduction ingredient sector includes well-resourced incumbents: Ingredion, Givaudan, and IFF all have active programmes in taste modulation and sweetener systems. For Adorvia to gain meaningful commercial traction, MycoTechnology will need to demonstrate performance advantages in real formulations, at competitive cost, and with a regulatory pathway that satisfies markets beyond the United States.
